Protecting Titís Is in the Bag
Proyecto Tití is an organization dedicated to protecting the cotton-top tamarin, native to parts of Colombia. In an effort to reduce the number of plastic bags which litter tití habitats, Proyecto Tití helped to create a cooperative of woman called ASOARTESANAS, who collect and prepare plastic bags so they can be crocheted into eco-mochilas, environmentally-friendly versions of the traditional Colombian bag.
